Default Exhaust Systems?

I have an 03 5.7L Hemi Ram Quad Cab 4x4 with the Short Bed and am wanting to put an exhaust system, most likely cat-back, and was wondering what are the brands any of you use and also which brands even have systems available for this spec truck, what i've seen in my little bit of searching is that many sites dont list anything for 4x4 Quad Cab. Dealer said it was because of the increased size for the transfer case and the 4x4 system.

As a side note, I've been thinking about Borla.

Borla makes one for your truck with dual side outs. Looks great, 550 shipped. Search Ebay

I've been looking around also and I think Borla seems to be the system I'm going with. I also looked at Flowmaster and Gibson. I found a site for the Borla for $527.24 before shipping I'm not sure how much the shipping is.

Nice. Anyone know about the sound different between a split rear exit and a single rear exit? I had someone tell me once that a single exit sounds a little more 'heavy' than a split exit. Anyone know about this?

For a basic idea of the difference, go to the Gibson website and listen to the sound clips. They have at least one for each type of exit.

Personally I think the dual side exit sounds better than the single.

It depends on the exhaust and sound you want, a single exhaust is going to give you more back pressure and allow for more HP gains and a throatier sound. If you want the harley, thump dump sound while at idle and the drag pipe sound while getting into it go with the duals. Either way make sure you don't have to remove the spare. I found it out the hard way. As for bargins a complete Magnaflow cat-back 3" single swept side w/ 4" tip can be bought for $365 to your front door at www.performancepeddler.com/ 866-399-4215 and www.tdetruckstuff for the gibson system around $425. I haven't really searched the flowmaster stuff because they aren't making a single outlet for the 2002 ram.

Good Luck
