Newbie... Few questions about my Ram
Hey guys, I found this forum while looking around on the web and it looks great. I just bought a 2000 Ram 1500 SLT Lariam with the off road package. I'll get some pictures up if any of you are interested. But now to my questions.
1. The truck as 58k miles on it and I was wondering what should I do for a tune up?
2. It needs new tires soon... What tires would you recommend? I'm just going to be using it for normal driving and construction work... It has those wrangler tires on it (I forget the exact name) but I remember hearing about them getting recalled so think I could get them replaced for free?

Welcome! I'm glad you found us.
We are a good group of Dodge Nuts here.
#1. Oil Change, Plugs, Wires, Cap/Rotor, Air Filter, Fuel Treatment, Oil Treatment, Gas Treatment (I do all three every oil change). How was it taken care of before you got it? I like to recommend the above, although it's not all needed, because it's good to start out right with your new truck.
#2. I love Kelly Safari AWR. That's what I have on my truck... low road noise, very 'grippy', raised white letter on one side if you like that (I do).
I don't remember any recall on tires through Dodge... where did you hear that? I'll look into it.
