Default Lowering 4X4 Ram

Does anyone know how to translate Dodge coil spring part numbers to find a shorter spring? I'm getting tired of having to throw things so da#@ high to get in the tailgate. My 01 4X4 Offroad is higher than a 1 ton ford at the tailgate!!

My '99 2500/4X4 is to tall at the gate to be usefull. I'm thinking about some shorter rear spring blocks to let mine down about 2"-3", it's a little tail high anyway!

There is a step that bolts to the bed side of the tailgate and flips around when you drop the gate. It does require screwing into the metal. I had a 72 blazer that had 12" lift with 39" tires. Being 5'7" even then i had to get a running start I think that JC Whitney has them.

If you want to raise the front, use new coils. If you want to lower the rear just get a 1 or 2" drop shackle/spring hanger. Either way will make your truck sit more level.

I'm thinking lower the whole truck. Back has 3" spacers between axle and spring, but then I figure it'll be nose high. So I'll have to drop the front to match.
