02 Off Road rim size??

02 Off Road rim size??
I have a 02 Ram 1500 and was wondering if I could fit 16.5" rims.......I have been told yes and no.....I tried stock 97 Ram rims and they seemed about 1/16" to small on the inside diameter so I figured 16.5" would fit......Just wanted to check to make sure before I go and order some rims.......Thanx
