what are the stats like hp tq and so on for 4.7 v8 magnum

 

I think on dodge.com they rate it at 235hp and 340tq. I just got my 04qc and i find it to be more than enough I just ordered a flowmaster system for mine. And i think i am going to try a cold air intake as well. I am only averaging around 12mpg right now and hope to improve on it.

 

I thought the 4.7 had 245HP and the 5.9 had 255HP. Why is it 265 in the new Jeep Grand Cherokee but not the new Rams?

 

you can order the high output intake and cams for the 4.7 which is supposed to boost the hp up to 280.

The 5.0 is a 5.0L/302cid V-8. Ford doesn't use it at the current time on production cars (it's a Ford engine) but it is available in crate engines. They last used it in the SVT Mustang Cobra and Mustang GT in 1995, it had 240-295HP. The crate engine 5.0 has 350-500HP, depending on what you order with the engine (Supercharger, Turbocharger, Pulley, and so on). But they have also used the 5.0 since 1969 so I don't know which one you are talking about. From 1969 to 1973 the 5.0 was rated at 290HP but had 350-365HP. From 1975 to 1979 it was rated at 135HP but had 200HP. In the eighties it ranged anywhere from 195-292HP, depending on weather it was a Mustang, GT, Cobra, or Saleen. They are talking about bringing back the BOSS 302 Mustang in 2006 which would mean another 5.0 V-8, if they do it's been rumored to have between 350 and 450HP.

 

ok... cuz my friend has a 89 lincoln mark 7 i found for him for 175 dollars and it has a 5.0HO engine
