Default Manual... Auto... Differance?

I have had the priviledge of driving a 94 Ram with a 5 speed manual, and of course, my truck is a 94 Ram with an Automatic trans. I LOVE my truck, but also love manuals...both trucks had the 5.9 L V8, but they are 'tricked out' differently, so it wasn't a good way to compare them. LOL!

I miss my first...I had a 98 Pontiac Sunfire with a stick, that car was awesome... LOL! I thought I was a badd ***... I had a license plate that said 'BITCH' and on the rear window, Fear This Bith... LOL! Now that I have my truck, I'm much less discrete... LOL!

What do you have? If an auto, do you miss having a stick shift?

P.S. Trying to make conversation people... let's start chatting... LOL!

Don't be embarassed! LOL! You're never too old to learn! Those Manual Rams are tough though... I mean, drop that baby down two gears and let her rip... LOL! But I don't know if my trans would be in one piece if I was still driving that one... LOL!

Just bought my 99 QC, 2x4 with 318 and a MANUAL shifter.(Had a F250 4x4 before this) I'm going to have to get a job at Goodyear to keep the tires on my new rig. I don't think a truck should have an automatic unless you are the kind of person that sees a vehicle as just something to get you from here to there. A stick is so much more fun. It gives you more control and a better MPG overall, too!

Dan,

I miss my stick... but what are you to do when the truck calls to you to buy her and she's an automatic? You can't fault her on it. LOL!

Plus, from your other post, I could tell you adored your truck before you even actually got the keys, what if it had been an auto?

I miss the control and fun things you could do witha stick (scare the elders behind you cause your rolling back just a little... LOL!)

LOL! I don't think she would have called to me if she was an auto! She KNEW that I WAS THE ONE for her because she knew I was looking for a stick... Funny that something with a stick is being called "her". LOL But, yes, I do really really really enjoy this truck. What? What's that? Oh, hang on a minute... I hear a voice coming from out front...hold on...it's just my truck. hehe

I'll get some pics put up after she trusts me a little more and stops being so shy!

Later!

Ooops,

I failed to mention the best part of the story on how I got my truck. I'm so good. Last Friday I took my F250 to a Ford dealer that had a 98 Grand Caravan loaded to the hilt with great miles. I took my wife, of course, who has never likedmini-vans, let alone sedans. She drove this van and I think it called to her, too. So, I traded my 96 Ford for the van. Talk about having some leverage to work with on Sunday when "she-truck" called to me across the lot! Ring Ring... "Honey... bring your car up to the dealership, I've got something to show you." Hehe

All is fair in love and war. I'll post again when I get back from Car Toys with my new sound system.
