ohhhhh.... that explains it. i have an '04 and i was able to turn it off in mine, but in one of my customers trucks i had difficulty doing it. so they might have disabled it. what is your build date? (it will say on the sticker that has your VIN in the door jamb)

I GOT IT TO WORK!

this is kind of weird, but i did it 4 times in a row, so i know it works.
the first part is just like how the book says, but the last part is a little different....

1. *parking brake off* with the engine off buckle your seatbelt, then turn the engine on and wait until the seatbelt light goes off.

2. unbuckle and buckle the seatbelt 3 times finishing with the seatbelt buckled.

**this is where it's kinda weird**

3. turn the key *slowly* so that the power to the radio goes off but the engine is running, you should now here a CHIME and the parking brake indicator light will come on now also. PAUSE. then turn the ignition off all the way, you should now here another CHIME.

in MY '04 it works just like the book says, but in a newer built ram it didn't, i tried this and it worked. i checked it 4 times just to make sure.

let me know how this works for you!!
