Vader's right. That's all they'll do. If ya really need an injector cleaning, see if there's a reputable shop, they may be able to do it for much less $. Maybe you should keep your foot out of it! LOL, just kidding... I know only one speed, and that's wide open!

What exactly is the BG44K? Can anyone buy it?

I'm also thinking is my ecu possibly dumping too much fuel, causing me to run rich. I'm just trying to fiqure what is going on. It dosent help the gas prices are going up [:@]

All the dealer will do is pour a can of BG44K in a run it for a little while.

BG44k is a fuel additive that is a powerful cleaner. It does actually work. Our County motor pool uses it and the Mechanics have shown me before and after injectors. You can buy it at most dealers for 17.00 a can. Or try BGfindashop.com.

It works and is worth it.

I have seem some post where milage is as high as 17 or so on the new hemi. Makes me think they are looking at the KMG not the MPG on the auto readout. All I can get is 12.4 if I keep my foot out of it, which is almost impossible when you drive a HEMI.

I am with you man.
I installed the AIRMAX Intake kit and the Helix Power Tower Plus on my 4.7 with 1800 miles on it. It did help some. I get on average 15 city and 17-18 hwy. which gave me an increase of 5 mpg city and 3 hwy. Keep in mind that I do live on the alaska coast and all my hwy driving is up and down large mountains.

I don't have a new truck but my 96 5.2 gets better milage if I drive it briskly than it does when I baby it. The 87 is just opposite.

My 4x4 quad cab hemi was geting 9 in town and 12 in the country and 14 on the hwy. One of the differences I believe for me is the speed on the freeway, which is 75. If I keep the truck down to 60-65 it will do 16-17 if it is flat and no wind. I did the TCM mod and the mileage did increase in town about 1 mpg. I am not sure why. I have also experimented with turning the od off in town which has was is good for 2 mpg. So now my in town average is 11-12, town and country so far is 14. I am hoping the hemi is still breaking in and will get better, doubtful though, I think I have around 7000 miles on it.

I'm also thinking is my ecu...
You're thinking PCM... ECU are those other companies...

Remember though, I drive like a maniac street racer damn near everywhere I go, even when I'm not racing, I'm the first one up to the speed limit off the line. LOL! So, my mileage is good for me... LOL!! In fact I was acting like a ditz last night and a cop in a Tahoe (first one I've seen in my area) is behind me, nice young cop, thank god, didn't pull me over, just asked me to turn my blaring music down, LMAO... but see?? I'm crazy... I never drive 55... or listen to the radio quietly.

I have had my HEMI for about 9 months and also am looking for ways of increasing my gas milage. i drive about 600 miles a week and have about 23,000 miles on it now. so its pretty well broken in. i have the 20's and a gear ratio of 3:92 and its my personal opinion that the grear ratio is too high for the engine curve of the hemi. at 80 miles ph i get 13 to 14, ato 75 miles ph i get 15 to 16, if i stay below 70 , WHICH IS NOT EASY TO DO , I get 17 to 18 miles per galon, but the biggest thing is STAYING BELOW 2000 RPM, the hemi, in my experience , has pllenty of power at most rpm and speeds, but eats up lots of gas when it is above 2000 rpm. i hope to put in 3:55 gears, when my wife says ok, lol,,, and hope to drop my rpm at 75 miles ph from 2200 to 2000 . i tried a k @ n filter for a week and got 11 miles to the galon that week, they gave me my money back...im also wondering if the 20"s on my truck is enough to push the HEMI over the RPM TO GPM CURVE ...
