I have a 1999 Dodge ram. I've been thinking of converting it into a 4x4 with the v10 viper engine (i know it'll cost me). I've already seen one in an article, but i was wondering how to get a 4x4 transmission that would fit a viper engine. would I have to get it specially made?

They already made a V-10 4x4, are you talking about one of the older 488 viper motors or a newer 500 or whatever it is? And you need to worry about the transfercase bolting to the tranny, not the tranny to the engine. The old truck v-10's were cast iron blocks instead of aluminum, not sure if the tranny bolt patterns changed. The new Hemi can use old trannies such as a 727 auto so I don't think Dodge would have been so mean as to make the aluminum block v-10's bolt up to nothing useable.
