FYI...

I installed my tonneau cover this past weekend.

I had no idea that the bed tapers about 5 inches front to back! I just assumed it was square.

 

I had no idea the bed was tapered. Looking at it, I can't see it at all. I'm sure I will find myself in the bed of my truck with a tape measure to see this with my own eyes. Are other trcuk beds like this too?

I know the bed cover I just installed has a tapered appearance. I'll have to measure it, but now that i think about it, it must taper.

 

i found that out this week too. i put on a used ladder rack and measured and remeasured and slap my a$$ and call me charlie, they were different. im sure all my other trucks were square. this rack was off a
(gulp) ford but with a little pull it slid right on

 

Found out there was a taper while putting the cover on the long bed. Kind of strange but no bother it still works as advertised.

 

I have owned a Datsun and Mazda rice burner trucks and their beds were square and both had tonneau's that I installed.


That's why I had problems with this one. When I called the 'help' line, the guy almost laughed when I was asking about the taper. I guess it is on an optical illusion.
