Ok i have a 99 dodge ram 5.2l and it seems like im driving a slug it is SLOW and i dont seem to have any power until i get to 3000 rpm + i thought the dodges were sposed to have a lower rpm power band is there something wrong with my truck or is it just a piece of crap?

 

there must be something wrong cause ive a 97 with the 5.2 and its mad fast

 

Do you still have a catalitic converter on it? If so does the exhaust have real strong smelling fumes? I know a friend had his truck to every garage around and they could not figure out why he had no power and it smelled real strong of the converter so we took the converter off and it fixed the whole problem.

 

how many miles are on the truck??


I had my cat go bad on my 96 2 years ago and it was replaced for free! Exhaust has extended warrenties so you could probably have it replaced for free.

 

well it has 91xxx miles on it and i didnt think that that was a whole ton of miles so i figured i would be able to get decent perfromance out of it but noo

as far as i know the cat is on there still i looked under my truck the other day and i saw something that i thought was the cat

ill check my exhuast fumes after school
