Default 04 4.7 exhaust

On my 04 4.7l Ram the exhaust is built like this: Manifolds with cats attached to the manifolds then the exhaust goes back where it Ys together then goes single into the muffler and out of the muffler single then over the rearend and into a resonator and out behind the pass rear wheel. Ok now couldn't I come off the cats with a H Pipe and into dual 40 flows and then out behind the wheels on both sides? AKA a true Dual system. It should sound darn good! Problably cheaper than buying a system. One other ? Would this setup hinder back pressure and performance?

I think I read on here that someone else wanted to do this but someone chimed in and said that the gas tank would have to be relocated because of the left side of the H pipe/muffler. But you're right, it would sound darn good.

Has anyone gotten a cat back system from either Flowmaster or Borla for their 03 1500 w/4.7?

Everyone has anopinion I know... Borla is all stainless I know... just looking for info.

Bullitt, you have one listed.... what do you think, and why did you choose Borla?

Do yourself a favor and buy the flowmaster kit. I have it. I got it for $320 delivered. The aluminized pipe will outlast your truck. I had flowmaster complete system on my 67 chevelle and it lasted over 10 years. I have the 04 and the 03 kit fits fine. I put it on in my driveway in about an hour. Also buy the kit that exits behind the rear wheels. It comes with two stainless tips that you can take off and run the exhaust out under the bumper if you want.
