DO NOT waste your money on a jet chip!!!!

Some people report LOOSING hp on the dyno after putting them on!! Not only that but the PCM will "relearn" its settings and reajust as if the chip was never there!!

There is a guy on another site I know that had one and said that it gave some gains when he put them on, but lost them after about 1000 miles. Now he has a Mopar PCM. Worth every penny!!! The chip gives him a bout 2 tenths on the 1/4 mile (nothing in the 1/8th or 60ft) if he piggybacks it on his Mopar PCM (after resetting the PCM).

Rather than getting the Jet chip spend the extra hundred or so and either get the Mopar PCM or the Superchips programer.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I have a Jetpaper weight. It slowed my truck down by almost .1 on the 1/4 mile. It is aPOS @ WOT!!</P>

Heres a dyno of a 5.9 Dak</P>

</P>

</P>

MP PCM was good for .30 et reduction on 1/4 (5.9rc/sb/4x2) Third best mod for the money. Magnaflow H/F cat n KnN genI beat it in bang for the buck on my truck.</P>

Where is the best place to buy the Mopar PCMs? I'm guessing the dealer would be a rip? Anyone know a better site?

Dont waste your money on JEt. Go with either Hypertech PP3 or Superchips. With these 2 you are able to adjut for over size tires, Raise rpm, top speed and you will notice a difference.

Does anyone know what is out there in the lines of a Programmer or chip for the 4.7 in the 2004. I have contacted many shops and all say that Jet is the only chip..after reading this I'm not sure that is the way. As for the Mopar PCM..have not seen one for the 4.7 either. I'm thinking that was a bad choice of engines....<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0"> <edited><editID>First Timer</editID><editDate>37985.9137152778</editDate></edited>
