Default Vaders Dyno

Well a DynoJet has moved in less than a mile from my house.

www.rayzengineering.com

The guys there are great. It is a family run business that is top of the line.

So, I dyno'd The Darkside. The numbers are ok. What do you expect from a 5800 lb Truck.

The numbers on the sheet are before and after superchip tuning. Only 8 HP gain. A lot less than the 10% claimed.

Here are some pics.

Oh the best part was that SuperChip removes the Max speed gov. I hit 150 and the guys said the tires were rippling[&:]

Amanda, It looks like that Fastman will put me over 200 at the wheels if what they claim is true. I will have the money for it Friday and sign up then. Thanks

No rush at all... just put one on the Blue 4x4 and it's PHENOMINAL.

Vader. Is the truck a 5.9 or 4.7? It might do a bit better with premium fuel if that tuner up'd the timing.

The Darkside is a 5.9L... and I use Premium (ouch) in my 5.9L... never anything less.

Does he have any other mads to the truck? I'm not trying to pick a fight here or anything, but if you figure a 25% driveline loss your flywheel Hp is 245 after the tuner. My question is; Isn't the 5.9L rated at 245 HP from the start? I'm trying to learn more about chassis dynos and the numbers they give us. I'm wondering why there is a difference in the HP ratings and actual wheel HP. And again, I'm not picking on you or your truck, just trying to help and maybe learn something.[sm=smiley31.gif]
