Hi! I'm the proud owner of a Dodge RAM1500 1999! Unfortunately from time to time the catr "throws" me out of the overdrive mode; mainly AFTER or during a LONGER period of using the cruise control. The failure message is "no RPM drop at lockup". I have somebody tuned -up the transmission but the damned thing still throws me out of the overdrive. Probably a software problem. Can anybody help me? Yeah, common problem on A500/A518. You need overhaul to fix that code, should include all new seals, input shaft, front pump and torque converter. Sorry for bad news, we've been having that problem since 98. Fixed it sometime in 2001.
