What can i get for $10,000
I was in the same situation about a month ago. Ended up buying a '96 Ram 2500 4x4 with a custom "Superlift" suspension kit from a private seller. Had new lift, new suspension, new tires, etc., etc., etc. I couldn't find anything worth $10k at any of the dealerships, so I went online and found my new "baby". [sm=smiley14.gif]

Thanks...you ought to be able to get something pretty nice for $10k. Might want to save a couple thousand to add some custom work to it after you buy it though. Always depends on what you find. Did you search through the classifieds here on the forum? Might be a good deal in there...at least you know there's a pretty good chance that a frequently posting member at least cares about the vehicle enough to take care of it.
Are you getting good power with those nice big tires? are you running 4.10 gears?

Running 3.9 gears right now...really need to be at 4.1, but I'm getting decent enough performance right now. Put in a new muffler and converter and was surprised at how much it increased the power off-the-line. Not that this is going to win any races, but before the new muffler/converter, I couldn't do 0-60 in 3 days.
I'm averaging around 12-15 mpg right now...which isn't too bad I guess for having 35" tires.
Course, having said all that, do we really like our trucks for the fuel economy??
