Default Speaker and Stereo

In a 98' Dodge Ram 1500 ext. Cab. with the AM/FM,CD cassette radio, with the 3 lever equilizer, what is watt rating on the amp? The reason why I am asking is because I don't have any speakers in the side panels on the front doors and I want to get a pair. I believe from what I hear, that the speakers are 6x9's, but I don't know how many watts they can be so they can still be powered by the stock car amp in the radio. Is it something like 75 or somewhere around that. I have the 2 tweeters on the roof support columns and two speakers in the back door. What wattage do I have to get and does anyone know a good speaker for this job. Something cheap, not much more than 30 dollars a piece. Is it possible just to get the normal stock ones somewhere? I was thinking I would go to some auto junkyard one day and look for a pair.

Thanks,
Mike.

The great thing about 6x9's is you can make them fit any place you want. Now I would say, without looking at the hole you have in your door, that these would fit. Most door speakers are a 6x9. But if they are not they will be barely smaller than a typical 6x9 hole, if need be just cut a bit. As long as you trust your work you will be fine, if not pay a buddy a 12 pack to do it for you.

On ebay I saw speaker from a 2003 model, 6x9s and then from a 2001 and they were "Infinity" 6x9s. I know Infinity is the upgraded system, but is there a difference in what kind of speakers you can get stock. Also would both of these speakers work for my 98'
