Yes I agree, and we mostly use the gas at our Chevron because it does give us better gas mileage. But gas is getting more and more expensive and last I heard it was at $2.15 at the Chevron we use. My wife has had to fill it once since we bought the truck and that was $48 to do so. When I had my Jeep is was a beater and we put whatever in it, hell I think we may have added water ourselves, lol. A new truck will get the best, even if it cost $50+ everytime I fill.

I remember when gas was less than a buck, what the hell happened? No don't answer that. [:'(]

I recall reading a local study about differences in gasoline from local stations. The study was done by chemists, and no discernable differences are noted other than cost and color. I've run all different types of fuel in my vehicles, and the mileage doesn't change. I'm with yawnshemi420 on this one.

Just a little proof. See the HP dyno rating for my truck below, it had a tank full of BJ's Warehouse gas.

I'm sorry Friend but you are Wrong. Costco gets our Gas from Canada oil Bank which is Imported, We save on Taxes doing it this way.

Sam's on the hand does use our Oil. Costco doesn't do ANYTHING that isn't unethical.

This information comes directly from the source.

The Techron in Chevron made a believer out of me. My gas gauge/float was stuck in my pickup and the Techron in the Chevron gas dissolved the deposits on the float and got the gas gauge working again...mechanics have told me they buy the Techron in bottles and use it when a customer wants his fuel injectors cleaned.....[&:]

I think I would rather walk than spend $74 to fill up my truck. I guess I'm lucky because down here in Houston, TX it only costs me $38 to fill up the other day. And that was with my gas light on.

Chevron is really good stuff, but for some reason, the bmw likes the 76 gas better. Back when we had the MTBE in the gas, i could not run anything but 76 (which removed it) Most of the vehicles out there are tuned on the sloppy side (from the factory, my opinion) and can tollerate some poor gas but when they see good gas for an extended period, you'll see the difference.

One other thing, one of you guys mentioned the price diff between Chevron & a cheeper gas... a long time ago I crunched the numbers to see if I was saving any $ using the cheeper 89 octane v 91 octane from Chevron & found that (on my ride anyway) that if the price diff was > $.10/ gal it was still cheeper to use the 91 if it gave better gas milage...

check the #'s for your truck to see, for some trucks it may not make a difference.
