hemi mpg
75% of my driving is done in town and I am getting 13.1 - 13.7 according to my over head console. I don't really get much highway miles on my truck, but there have been time I would fill my tank, reset the computer, and hit the highway. There I would get 16-18 mpg.

graveymonkey. I almost hate to mention this. My overhead MPG is always off compared to using actual #'s. It is consistently higher by at least 0.75 MPG.

I'm just hitting my second oil change at 6k and I've averaged about 13.5 mpg, mix of highway and stop-n-go. I recently put on a CAI and with that I'm looking at roughly 15 and change (I'll have a better idea when I get my foot off the throttle long enough to let the numbers settle down). My prediction is that about 15.5 is gonna be as good as it gets, but it is worth it for the Hemi sound and power.
On a recent trip I got 16.1mpg. I was doing 82-85 the entire tank and got 368 miles to the yellow light. I had the tailgate down and AC on. A few weeks later returning home I had the tailgate up for that same stretch doing the same speeds got me 14.8mpg. This was between Oklahoma City and Chicago.
Couple of things.
The overhead console mpg readout is dead on in my truck. Which is great for me as I can reset it at anytime to see what is going on.
MPG this week. I have been driving out to the farm each night after work so most of miles are stretches of a couple miles to a stop sign, couple of miles to a stop sign, so on and so on then a 5 mile stretch etc. Combined with 4 miles each way to work, so 8 miles of in town, OK OK the bottom line is 14 mpg.
I think the intake, engine break in, and summer grade fuel is making life better for me.
4x4 vs 2x4. It seems the 2wd trucks get significantly better mileage on average than a 4x4. I didn't realize there would be that much difference but the 2wd guys are reporting pretty good numbers. I would like to have a 2wd for summer time driving and hauling the bike into the woods.
