Hemi is Slow?

Hemi is Slow?
Some people seem to think that a hemi is slow. Im talking about a reg cab, 2wd, hemi, and 3.55 open diff. that i am trying to buy. I figure this is a low 15s truck, but i will be putting the volant cai and 3.92 limited slip on it.(i have 245/70/17 tires). These people are talking about tundras and titans beating it. That just offended me. I know that with some work that hemi would be a killer motor. Just looking for everyones opinion on this.

well until they come out with something on the 04 to cancel the torque management you will not have a truck any faster than anyone else (though the gears will help alot) i have a 2wd/reg cab/20's (not stock)/ and 3.55's and my personal best was a 15.36 (granted it's not broken in and ran that with only 2000 miles but ran the 1/8th last week and picked up from a 9.89 to a 9.68 so it's getting better but not going to race again till it gets over 10K on it!!
but overall it's a pretty quick truck, and really the only truck you have to worry about beating you is a lightning and an srt-10!!

the one im looking at is an 03- and to my understanding it does not have the electronic throttle or the torque management. It also has a flowmaster dumped before rear axle and a k&n drop in... sounds sweet as hell.
