Default How many inches of lift will i need to run 35's on my 95 ram?

Like i said does anyone know how many inches of lift total i will need to run 35 inch tires on my 95 4x4 longbed ram. it is regular cab. Also should i just get a body lift or suspension. i will do a little offroading but nothing extremely severe or anything, just mostly in fields. i don't know if its worth the money to get a suspension lift in my situation. Is anyone else running 35s on their Ram? How many inches of lift do you have and is it body or suspension. How difficult is it to install each? Sorry for all the questions but if anyone can help me out thatd be great.

You can get away with 4 inches of lift for 35's. You might rub a little at full turn on the steering wheel and full suspension compression. 4" lift is pretty reasonable price wise. 6" is the most common and will give you no rubbing. As for body lifts im personally against them. they can be unsafe if you really use your 4 by hard and they are just plain ugly, all that frame showing. Ive seen a truck body sheer off the frame under heavy use and to tall of a body lift but it can still happen . Plus a suspension lift will give you more durable components to handle the extra weight of those big heavy 35's whereas a body lift leaves the suspension parts stock.

I have a 5.5" "Superlift" suspension lift kit on my 2500 4x4. It isn't ugly and the frame doesn't show since the suspension is lifted, not the frame. I also have 35" BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain tires on it and I don't have any rubbing at all, no matter how far you turn the steering wheel.

I had 11 inches of lift on my '01 2wd and I was able to fit 37" and 38" tires on it.
