Default RE: Best exhaust for 2004 Hemi sport 1500?

i have posted this topic on several forums on this subject since January hoping someone somewhere could help me and alot of others and have not gotten the same answer yet from anytwop people. Good luck!

I had installed true duals on my 04 Ram and lost all of my bottom end and had them re-install the single w/ a 50 flowmaster to re-gain the bottom end. It worked however i have since added a CAI and still am having a difficult time getting some affirmative answers. I guess it must still be unchartered waters.

I have installed a flowmaster 50 series single 3" in and dual 2.5" out. The dual pipes run to the side of the truck before the right rear wheel. There I put 2 3.5" chrome slash cut tips spun on their side so they come out at 45 degree angle and line up with the side of the truck. There is much better throttle response and I did not loose any bottom end. Between 500-4500 rpms is sounds like a big block and then above 4500 rpms it sounds like a blown big block. It scares people when I get on it...[sm=smiley15.gif]

Thanks man i! m probrably gonna end up doing the same thing ........ill have pics soon when its done. I believe that would be the safest move except my exhaust pipes go from the 2.25 go to 2.5 single in and 2.5 out. i thought it was 3" till I measured it while it was on my garage floor. Thanks

You said on your rear drop, you took out the support spring, is that the bottom spring that is not in the actual pack? I alreay have the drop shackles but I need a little more to make it level.

Thats Correct! The bottom or "overload" leaf. its 5/8 ' thick and once its out ? the truck will measure perfectly even. However looking at it. it appears the front is slightly lower (appears). Good luck!

I am going with magnaflow mufflers and custom tuned exhaust.....3" pipe. Prolly gonna go dual out the back of the truck(although I have heard that this can discolor your chrome). The shop said that it will only discolor IF they don't extend the pipes far enough. Sound correct, I am gonna do more reasearch on this...if I find that it's true I am gonna go catback dual exiting behind the rear wheels.
