Default Tires

Hello everyone.
I have a 2001 Dodge Ram Sport truck STOCK.

I've been meaning to get new tires for it. I want to get bigger/wider tires for it (I know I would probably need new rims too). without lifting it and putting a lot of work and money into it. Bottom line, just tires.

I want to see if I can get the rims and tires off of eBay but I don't know what I'm looking for ie. tire/rim size.
Can somebody help me ?, I really don't want to deal with the dealer.

Thank you.
Felix.

Thank you for your response dodge61D300, I'm currently out of town but I'll be back on Monday and I will let you know what size tires I have.
All I know is that they're STOCK tires and rims.
Also, keep in mind that I don't want to lift the truck, I want to leave it as is.

Thanks again and I'll write on Monday.

I'm not a tire expert by any means, but I just installed 275/70-17 Goodyear AT/S on my '01 Ram Off-Road, and I am VERY happy with them. They're quiet and ride really nice. No complaints here...

Here is my 02 1500 with BFGoodrich Mud Terrain 285/70R17. Found them at walmart for $198 apiece. Fits on stock rim. I have heard of 315/70R17 as being the widest you can go stock

Ok guys THANK YOU very much for all the replies.... I'm back now.

Here's what I need:
I'd like to know what is the biggest size I can go on STOCK rims (I'd like to get them online somewhere, maybe eBay).
I DO NOT want to lift it, I'd like to keep it stock. My current tires are P265/75R16.

Also, if I can get bigger rims with tires, what should I look for? (numbers wise).

Here's a link to my baby... http://www.fbswebdesign.com/2001ram/index.htm it is a 2001 Dodge Ram Sport.

Thank you in advance.
