I am neurotic with my things. I use Mobil1 10W-30 and change it every 3,000 miles. I also use the mobil one filters. I have done this to past cars and have NEVER had a mechanical failure of any kind...actually.....a mechanic took off the valve covers of my pontiac just to have a peek....looked like chrome(so he said).
