Default 3.55 vs. 3.92

Thanks for the info Iggster. I am going to get the Hemi and since you are correct about the terrible gas prices I will go with the 3.55. I am unfortunately used to paying a lot since my current Ram has 4.10 gears. Might as well cut cost on gas where I can though.

Thanks again

DC never tells this but all DC truck rear ends are what they call corporate rear ends(9 1/4). The houseing is the same, 1500 to 3500 dually, its the same. The only diffrence is the axles themselfs(and springs). The 1500 thru 3500 ring and pinion will interchange. This houesing has been around since the early 80's only its made lighter today. So there are a wide variety of rear gears to chose from 2.76 to 6.15, yep. Checked it out in the new chilton interchange manual used by salvage yard dealers. You don't hit a problem till you try putting a 2500 rams axles into a 1500 ram or vise versa. You can order 4.10 gears for a 2500 and put it into your 1500, that's what i did.

" Sure it gets good gas mileage, at45 mphon a stright stretch of road with noair turbalencefrommeeting cars or trucks and a 15 to 20 mph tail wind!" My HEMI!
