Default Hemi Towing Remarks

We just got back from camping this weekend. We towed our RV with our new/used '03 Ram 2500 4x4 w/ the Hemi and we were very pleased. The Hemi has really good power for towing. Our RV weighs about 7500 pounds and the truck didn't have a problem. I've used diesels before and liked them, but this truck did great. Gas MPG wasn't bad...it was around 12. I'm looking forward to towing again soon.

I just also back from camping this past weekend, and this is the first time I towed with my new truck (see signature), was a pleasure to drive with 9000 pounds of weight, 2 adults, two kids and camping equipment. I had a 1500 Hemi 5.7 and the ride was very bouncy and the engine was dragging up hill (4700 rpms). (9 miles per gallons), now with the diesel I got 13 miles per gallon but the truck only has 900 miles, the engine needs to break in, very happy with my purchase.

Wengerda,

That is a nice truck. We looked at the '03 and '04 Cummins trucks and they were just too expensive. I've towed with diesels before and liked them a lot. This Hemi powered Ram did an admirable job of towing in my opinion.
