Weeell, On a long haul through the city today with some decent stretches with no lights or backup I hit 12.1, not driving like my grandmother either. Hopefully it continues to go up as it breaks in, sure is a nice change from the 8 I was getting before!

Wow, my mileage is getting better, I have 1200 kms now since last Thurs and I am now averaging 14.9 in the city. I can hardly wait to try sustained highway driving to find out that mileage.

I live on a resort town on a lake so gas is waaay too expensive here, 1.91 a gallon for 87 compared to 1.77 most places within 200 miles around here, and on 87 I've been getting about 12 city and 17-18 highway with a 2500 4x4 HD with a flowmaster

gonna either grab a k&n drop in or save up for a full CAI and hope to hit 14mpg city 20 highway

My mom put a drop in in her 99 mustang v6 and went from 22 to 25.8 mpg

Man, I would hate to have to drive that far for work!! My/dads truck only has 8500 miles, and its an '03. Though its not the daily driver.

I'm going about 80 miles/day, about 90% is stop and go freeway driving across Detroit subs and getting 16-17 with a 2004 Hemi (about 1,000 miles on it). Its still better than the 15 I was getting in the 97' with the 5.2 !!

you get used to the drive.
I live out in the sticks so just driving into town is a 20 mile round trip just for groceries or gas.
If I want to go to a Wally World (Wall Mart) its a good 50 mile trip easy.
The only thing I have done to the truck is a K&N filter and I use Mobil 1 exclusively.
I am thinking of trying Amsoil if I can find it local and talk to some peeps using it.
Those high mile numbers between changes just scare me.
I have ran synthetic oil for the last 10 years but still change mine every 3-4 thousand miles.
