RE: 360 Air Intakez... Choosing between 2 versions. Help
weird you'd think by the name alone the Powershot would yield bigger HP gains yet after looking at the two it looks like the Koolshot has the better gains.
As far as I'm concerned I'm going the ebay route. Paying well over $100 bucks for an upgraded conical air filter w/ mandrel bent piping is crazy. Unless its a true CAI then the gains from a $40 generic intake and a $200 intake are gonna be nominal.
Plus to make my point I'll be making a trip to my local dyno in two weeks. I'll post the dynosheet w/ a baseline stock numbers and then make a second pass w/ the intake that I plan on purchasing.

The biggest problem with a simple cone air intake is that it sucks all the hot air from the engine bay. This can be over 200*F, and if that's what you are sending into you intake, you may be loosing HP!
The stock airbox ducts cool air from outside of the engine bay (usually from inside the fender). This cool air is much more dense and holds more O2... thus making more power. The Cone probably works well in the winter or if you live really far north, but here in Georgia I would avoid it like the plague. They cost more and decrease performanc a lot of the time.
They do look "kool" and make some nice intake noises, but that's all they are good for IMO.
