How did that sound? I too am looking for something a little more aggressive when I get on it, but not annoying in the cab cruising.

Awesome, it is not that loud when driving normally or only giving it a little throttle, but at mid to WOT... It is really load, it makes heads turn all around when I get on it. It sound like a big block with no muffler at WOT. IMO

Think you could post sound clips of the exhaust?

If it is overkill, leave the resonator in the mix, that will quiet it down. I will see if I can get some sound clips on here, once I figure out what I can use to do that. I will let you all know.

I would like a exhaust that has a nice aggressive rumble at near idle i.e stoplight. I am in those conditions more often than WOT so it has to sound good at lower RPM's too. Is the super truck the loudest?

If you want to go all out and have the thing idle mean, then do a 12" glass pack and have it dump right after with a turn down. I did that on my 2001 and it was mean, it was a little loud on the freeway, but I did not care...

Hmm didn't know I had a resonator on it, but I haven't really been under the truck yet either. I might just have the local muffler shop do up something for it. My buddy used to work up there, and is friends with a lot of the guys up there so they are straight up with him on what sounds good since they have done a lot of custom stuff.

Sorry RacerRob, I forgot, you have a '98, those dont have a resonator, I was thinking of what mine had when I cut of the stock stuff. You can actually get the exhaust shop to add one or even put a small glass pack on before the muffler, that will help...

On my '01 5.9L I only had a 12" glasspack on it, not mufflers or tail pipe.
