My overhead computer is acting funny HELP
I have an 03 ram 4.7L v8. reg cab
I've noticed something different about my overhead computer and thought maybe someone would know whats going on with it.
For about the last 6 months when I fill up with gas my computer reads about 320 miles until empty. Now when I fill up the computer reads 289 until empty. What happened? Ironically this started happing when gas went up to $2 a gallon. I have also recently cut off my stock exhaust pipe from my 40 series flowmaster and dumped it....does that matter?
It just seems like something has changed.

I would probably say that your computer is calculating your DTE by your fuel economy. Reset your overhead console and see if this changes. Hope this helps you.
Here is the procedure:
The EVIC trip computer features several functions
that can be reset. The functions that can be reset
are: average fuel economy, trip odometer and elapsed
time. With the ignition switch in the On position and
with one of the functions of the trip computer that
can be reset currently displayed, depressing the
Reset push button twice within three seconds will
perform a global reset, and all of the trip computer
information that can be reset will be reset to zero.
With the ignition switch in the On position and the
function that is to be reset currently displayed,
momentarily depressing and releasing the Reset
push button once will perform a local reset, and only
the value of the displayed function will be reset to
zero. A global or local reset will only occur if the
function currently displayed is a function that can be
reset.
The distance to service function can also be
reset using the local reset method, but it will reset
back to the Service Interval distance that is set in
the EVIC programmable features mode. Refer to
ELECTRONIC VEHICLE INFORMATION CENTER
PROGRAMMING in the Service Procedures
section of this group for more information on setting
the Service Interval.
For more information on the features, control functions
and setting procedures for the EVIC module,
see the owner’s manual in the vehicle glove box.

Yes I will agree they are! I have had my model 21 (preban clips) since they first came out. Kinda big to carry concealed - so I am shopping for something a bit more compact at the next gun show.
What kind of work do you do for all those pistols? Police dept?

I actually work in an alternative school as a security officer. So I carry the G17 there. I keep a Winchester 1300 8 shot Defender shotgun in my truck while at work also. You are right about having trouble concealing the G21. You might check out the Glock 36 .45 ACP, it's only like an inch wide and would be easy to conceal.
Oh yeah, the gun shows are addicting too, we have one coming through Dallas this weekend and Iv'e already planned on going.
