I am looking to C section my 06, Ram 1500 to drop it to the ground and I talked to a few people and they say that you cannot modify the frame on a 06' because it is a "Hydro-formed frame" I am thinking that it would be the same as any steel frame, but before I go Hacking it up, I thought I would post this up and see if anyone else has any thoughts or has already welded on there 06' frame?

You CAN weld on it. It is steel afterall. Several of the Diesel guys have done welding on their frames. You just have to know what you're doing.

However, if you weld on your frame or drill any holes in it, you will void the factory warranty. It's right in the owner's manual. Of course, if you're going to drop your truck...I'm guessing you're not worried about your warranty.
