Default Possible water in Front and Rear Differential

Today I had to rescue a travel trailer from a flood with my 2004 Quad Cab 4X4. I drove through some deep water, it was nearly up to my running boards....

Question: Can water enter into my differentials and do damage?

Thanks in advance!

yes water can get in your diffs.ive seen it many times.it will cause damage if left in there.check it asap if you even think you got some in there.it wll have a milky color to it if its got water in it.if you do have water in your diffs drain them, fill and drive a little then drain again.make sure you check it before its really easy to tell.
