nice pics saw a demo at the dodge experience display they had at lowes motor speedway. list was around 50,000 it i am not mistaken to rich for my taste but my bee is only 3 weeks old i am more than satisfied with it.

 

when I say that "Dodge" tranny I mean that (t-56?) 6spd viper/srt10 tranny.

I mean, Dodges hemis longevity is still left to be seen, but its a well known fact that their trannies suck. Thats why I would like to know if the viper tranny will bolt up to a hemi. IF it will, I would spend the big big money for that tranny. Because A: IT will pay for itself in longevity, and the warranty will still stand if I get it installed by Dodge. And then I Can hammer a supercharger in there and it wont have a CHANCE at blowin up that tranny. And being that the SRT-10 exists. All the parts to convert it to a standard (pedals, shifter, hole in floor, special "Cup holder + Shift boot console" mounting location/modifications" All that.

Or does anyone know the weakness of the dodge trannies, so that one could replace it with better parts.

There's one thing wrong with the Hemi. You cant get a manual transmission in one in the stock 1500 truck. You have to go SRT-10 to get a Hemi with a Manual.

Big mistake. Automatic transmissions in trucks are just as wrong as manual transmissions in Cadillac Devilles. [:'(]

Dodge SHOULD just offer a standard tranny in their 1500's with the Hemi, the NV4500 would be just fine with a massage here and there. And offer a Hurst shifter option too. [&:]

 

Kinks=problems, bugs... As far as I've heard, they're stumped cause of our computers

I know you cant buy a hemi w/ a 6spd. I am wondering if you bought a 6spd tranny from dodge could you bolt it up to a hemi.

you CAN get a hemi with a stick. it was offered to me if i wanted it, because i asked. you just have to wait whatever time it takes for them to build it for you. and it costs extra, and i really didnt want to wait. they dont mass produce them, but it is an option should you request it.

 

Your the first one I have ever heard say that.
