Default Transmission Leak or Overflow?

98 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 - 318, Auto

Does this tranmission have an overflow?

I towed my boat to the lake and notice a lot of fluid dripping from the pan when I got there. This was a pretty long and hard tow. However, it has since stopped and has not done it again?

The transmission fluid was a little over full, so I'm wondering if the tranny just got hot from the towing and dumped some fluid out of an overflow somewhere?

Just giving this a bump up to the first page. Does anybody know if this tranny has an overflow and if that was the problem?

You probably overheated it and it spit out the fill tube and ran down the tube to the pan rail. Better to be a little low than overfull with Chrysler transmissions. Idling HOT in NEUTRAL on LEVEL ground the stick should show in the MIDDLE of crosshatching, NOT to the top of the full line.
