Default Horn Honking

have a new Dodge Ram 3500 diesel. The horn has been honking at random times by itself! It isn't any set pattern and it only honks once when it does honk. Does anyone know what's going on?[&:]

If u have the factory keyless entry/alarm the problem probably lies in there somewhere.

Wasup guys,

Hey I just got an 04 Quad-cab. 2 weeks later the horn would not stop honking...Honking at random for long periods of time. My neighbors went crazy. In any case.. Anyone have any ideas. In the meantime, I pulled the fuse and will be taking it back to the dealer next week. Yes, I also have the keyless entry.

My 2004 Dodge Stratus is doing the same....... Horn goes off randomly.

Sometimes as I'm slowing down for a light or stop sign and other times when the car is parked.

The dealership has worked on it three times in the last three months. Each time they work on it, the problem disappears for about three weeks and then starts again.

This developed the second week of buying the car.........

This sounds like an issue that dodge is having. Probably a fix somewhere on the internet

Hey guys, 04 Hemi 1500 here with the exact same problem. It started out with a very short burst from the horn and eventually worked itself up to not stopping at all. I did some trouble shooting on mine and it is being grounded from the steering wheel side of the horn wire under the dash. Don't know if mine would be a relay or not, but I'm about to go and buy one now to see if that fixes the problem. I hate dealing with the dealership [&o]

I called Chrysler support and they contacted the dealership for me. I will be dropping off my car (Stratus) tonight and they will let me use a loaner until they can pin point why the horn keeps going off.
A co-worker told me that his wife had a simialar problem with her Mazda and they determined that it was the air bag in the steering wheel that created her problem.
