I just started having trouble with my tranny slipping yesterday. I have 54,000 miled on my Ram. I had just turned the criuse off and all of a sudden the truck sounded like it did not want to up shift . I put it into neutral then back into drive it was fine for a couple miles then the tranny kept slipping. I hope it is not a huge problem but I have a feeling this is gonna cost me big. If anyone has any similar problems or know of any problems please contact me backdraft98@hotmail.com.

I just replaced my trans in my 97 1500 4x4 5.9L about 5000 miles ago it now has almost 112000 miles on it, ive heard horror stories about dodge trannys before but mine had alot of abuse first owner used it for heavy plowing in PA second one was an emt which means when he gets on scene he would shift into park before the truck stopped moving so i would ahve to say i got pretty lucky that the trans didnt go earlier... o and i put my abuse in too i posted pics awhile ago on a diff name of my off roading throwing mudd water up about 30 feet into the air the name i posted as was raven_450 i dont know if the pics are still on here and i dont have them anymore but to makea long story short u got the short end of the stick and got a bad one =x

Well, the day I bought my 2004, the MIL came on wile driving it home from the dealer and the tranny seemed stuck in third gear. Brought it right back and it spent the first week I owned it in the shop.
Was a bad sensor in the tranny, so the whole thing had to come out!!

No problem since then.
