Default Front Coil Springs on a 95 ram 1500 ?

How do you tell if the coils springs are shot ?
The front end on my truck rattles, clunks and whines !
I'm going to have all the "Known issues" fixed and was wondering if I should just put new springs in at the same time. It's got 175K on it and still rolling strong.

dang that is a good question, are u doing the repairs or a shop? if it is a shop they shoud be able to tell u. other than that i have no idea. of course this could be the perfect time to lower or lift ur truck depending on 2 or 4 wheel drive

prolly the ball joints, u-joints, tie-rod ends, trac bar, and a blown out steering stabilizer.
that sounds about right... i did all that plus more, like a steering gear box, etc. all at 100k
your prolly overdue for it ...

but as for your coils being worn out, i doubt that ... maybe shocks.
i gotta 95 ram ext cab 4x4, and i replaced my stock coils w/ superlift coils...so i got stock coils if you really need them.
