Looks good Rick [sm=smiley16.gif]

Thanks and Yes it has been quite the experiance. Ive always had small trucks (S10 then 2 Rangers) so this is unique .... As for the Towing thats what its about. Want to trade in the PU some day and get a TT or 5th.

Do you have any gear in the truck, if so hows it mounted ???

Still working on that part, I have need to mount a IC706MKIIG and an FT1500M ... Also exchange a CB for the MKIIG when I run with the camping club.

excellent, time for some diesel modifications...
Well Im not ready for that yet, but willing to listen to options if it would help on Towing IE raising tow capacity and power and not toooo exspensive.

fitting name (Beast) for a huge truck. I used to have a '76 power wagon long bed 4x4 so I know how you feel.

my buddy took his 99 3500 CD ram and got this power controller installed. i dont know exactly it involves, i believe the engine computer, but that, combined with some bolt ons, duel exhaust (5") and some small tires, ive seen him waste GT stangs, then tow someone elses race trailer home!! its a small dial under his dash...im sure someone here has to have one.

No gear installed yet... not quite sure how to install it
In my case I think the easiest thing would be to buy a new dual bander and install the detachable head in the little cubby hole below the climate control.

In my durango I had my rigs installed between the dash and the floor console. I took it in for service and the tech reminded me that they could void my warranty for having the rigs installed sooo... I may not install anything....

I have a 1500M that I bought to put in the durango I liked it because it was small.
The only problem with the 1500 was the rx audio is too hard to hear at highway speeds without a external speaker. I took it out and put in a ft-2600.

If it were me I think I would get one of those mounting systems like EMS uses
(bolts to tranny hump & holds multiple radios) that is if you don't mind putting holes in the floor...

I think the dash in the 99 Ram is similar to what was in my 2000 dakota.

that design makes mounting rigs a litte difficult...
