Default 01 Wheel Size...?

Hello all...!

I have an 01 Ram and I am wondering if the wheels are 16 x 7 or 16 x 8? If they are 16 x 8, can you clear 305/70s x 16s(33 x 12.2) at the stock height? I have a set of BFG ATs on my Jeep and I am wondering if I can put them on the truck and get some BFG MTs for the Jeep.

Here is a picture of the Jeep just in case you are wondering how they fit on the Jeep?

The only way to know for sure will be to test fit one on the front and rear.

So no one has ever put 33" tires on a Ram? I find this hard to believe....! I wish the Jeep and Ram had the same bolt pattern or I would just try it.

If its a 4x4 you should be able to SQUEEZE 33's but you will havesome rubbing while turning especially when turned all the way and going over bumps. A set of 2" spacers or springs out of a 2500 will clear 33's no problem.

Hello,

You can call Discount tire and they will look it up with no problems. I have a 2001 with factory 17's. They are 8 wide which will accept the 33's. Looks cool! Good luck and be carefull.

Hi grubb202, is your truck an off road edition with stock 17" wheels?

The factory 17's gave it away. The off road is already 2" taller then a regular 1500 4x4. 33's on your truck fit no problem, but it will be tight on a regular 4x4 with stock wheels.
