only reason i ask is because the truck get about 12 MPG. I know that's pretty average, the truck also has 130,000 miles on it and i know that its the stock cat.

my cat was stock on my 95...
when i cut it out & it looked excellent...
i thought for sure that it would be clogged...i replaced it w/ a magnaflow cat.
nothing special...i did a 40 series at the same time ... the cat and muffler are connected by 4 ft of 3inch pipe.
after the muffler, there is nothing... deffinately dropped some low-end power.
but anything over 2,800 rpms, it runs good, sounds like a monster truck too.
