a k&n air filter will add a few mpg onto the truck, but a k&n intake will add even more. plus more power, which is a great thing. as far as the bosch plat. +4 plugs, i havent heard too much about them except that the perform great. the tornado....to me it sounds like a load of dookie....basiclly because they sell it by way of infomercial, and i rarely respect anything sold i that manner. but who knows.....it could be good....really its up to you.

I saw an increase of 1.5 - 2 MPG by using amsoil sythetics . I use the Dual Remote Bypass too for extreme filtration. Running temp was also decreased, meaning less friction, more performance. I plan to switch to synthetic ATF and Diff lube soon. I'll record my gains then too.

I have heard of people getting very minimal gains with the Tornado. The synthetic oil will also help. MSD Super Conductor wires will give you some improvement as well. Cold air induction and a high flow catalytic converter is a good idea if you want to spend a little more money.

Ok, first off...DO NOT GET THE TORNADO!!!!!!

Its a 70 dollar paper weight at best!! Yes they work wonders on some cars (mainly the ones from the 80's before intakes were redesigned....but they will hurt your MPG in the rams!! all they do is get in the way of air flow!!

Now for the plugs...dont waste your money on hyped up over advertised "super plugs" like that!! a new set of regular copper core plugs will give you the same gains!

If you want a good set of plugs get NGK or Autolite!!

K&N - great filters....but just getting the filter wont do much!! the stock intake sucks on our trucks!!

NO!!!!

Another waste of money!!

Spacers are left over technology (sp) from the carb days!! The new EFI motors dont need them any more! The only thing a spacer will do for you is prevent you from using a cold air intake!

Why do yo uthink Air Raid is the only brand making them any more other than small mom and pop "performance" companies??

the NKG or Autolite plugs, whichs one, i don't know too much about cars yet, my future father in law is slowly helping me out in that area. Also, are plugs easy to install, i know there are those Chilton books that tell you about repairs and such, any good? Also the K&N filters and intakes, how much we talkin here, i'm going to be tight on money for a while but i'd rather pay a lil upfront then a lot at the pump, i'm not gonna add anything till about the end of the year and run a few tanks to see my mpg. this Amsoil stuff, i read a lil on it in the other forum page in like basic terms, what is it, what does it do and how much does it cost.

thanks for all your help guys, ya'll seem like a nice bunch and thats good cuz i wanna learn about Rams as much as i can.
