Default Rear gears

Hey guys, can anyone tell me where I can order 4.10's for my 04 1500 2wd? What rearend am I dealing with here? Is it a common rear that I can just call Summit or somebody up and order from there? I test drove one with 3.92's, but it wasn't the truck I wanted, so I ended up settling for 3.55's in the one I have now and can really tell a difference in performance. Thanks in advance.

Why not just get 3.92's? It'd be easier, and 4.10's might be a tad extreme, leaving you regretting them over time. Just a thought.

Gas milage isn't a big concern for me, and I think 4.10's would really wake the truck up. As far as ordering them though, what size of rearend am I dealing with? Is it too much trouble to switch to a posi rear end? Where can I go to get everything I need?

You need to find out what rear is in the truck now. Crawl under the rear of the truck and look at the passenger side axle, just inboard of the brakes. There's a label with the info about the rear. If it's a 9.25" rear, your in luck. You need to find out if all these gears for the 9.25" are interchangable. I would suggest calling Randy's ring and pinion.http://www.ringpinion.com/
