turning of odometer
yes there probably isnt a trick to do it and even if there was its illegal. even if it was illegal thats completely dishonest and deceitful. why would you lie just to save some money? if you plan to use it for more miles than the lease allows then you should have worked out another lease or bought the truck.
THIS IS DISHONEST AND ILLEGAL but, I know a guy who unhooked his instrument panel and it didn't register the mileage. It was on a 3rd Gen Ram work truck that he wasn't supposed to be driving other than to work and he had to use it to pull his boat. Whether you use this or not is up to you and your morals. Further its probably not a good idea because you will lose all your vital engine information, but whatever you want.
lol, the guy registers on this site, and his first post is that crap up there? Who's to say you aren't just going to resell with lower miles to rip someone off? But I guess he wins right, cause some jerkoff always has to show everyone up and answer.

Relax children, he simply answered the question. What is done with that answer is on the morals and conscience of the person who asked.

even if you unplug the instrument cluster isent the milage stored in the pcm as well? thats what i always though, so if somone were to take the truck i and have the pcm read it would tell the true milage and you would look like an ***
Not sure about 3rd gens, but on second gens, mileage is stored on a chip in the odometer. The PCM only increments the odometer reading as you drive, does not store any odometer information itself.
