Default Doing away with leaf suspensions

Does anyone have information on this? When I had just bought the Ram I remember reading about this, now I'm curious if I can attempt it. I'm not necessarily talking about going for an airbag suspension.

Only other option besides air I can think of would be to custom make an independent rear suspension setup.

The only company that I know makes a fully independent rear suspension on a vehicle as big as a ram (or almost) is ford on the explorers... Other than that, I still think it would be too much custom work for my skill and time i have available.

Any particular reason you want to do away with the leafs?

The *** end bounces around way too much, even for a truck. I've driven some GMs and they ride hard, for sure, and of course the Fords ride a little soft, but neither of them have an unbalanced back end like the Rams, even the 3rd gen have the same problem. The winters require a little soft ride in the back in order to have good handling. I drove an Impreza and an A4 before this truck so I guess i'm just a little picky about the winter handling.

Might want to try a airbag setup with softer springs so it rides softer when not towing or having weight in the bed. Make sure you get the right kind of springs though, otherwise itll just ride lower..
