I HAVE A 04 QUAD 4X4 W\5.7 HEMI ON 20"X9"TIRES WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISION AND A 3.92 REAR END W\ANTI-SPIN DIFFERENTIAL. TRUCK WILL NOT BREAKE TIRES FREE AND SLOW OFF THE LINE. MY FRIENDS 03 COLNE OF MY TRUCK BURNS OUT. BOTH TRUCKS ARE STOCK. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON. VERY CONFUSSED. WHAT DID DODGE DO AND HOW DO I FIX IT.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SECOND QUESTION DID ANY 04 QUAD COME STOCK WITH A LARGER GEAR THAN 3.92, EXECEPT THE SRT I KNOW IT HAS A LARGER GEAR.

 

I have a 2003 Short Bed with the 5.7 Hemi and mine wont break the tires loose either. I figured they were detuned down low so people wouldn't spin out.

 

So not true, because I have an 03 QC hemi that will fry 305/50/20's.[sm=badbadbad.gif]

 

Not sure what you have in the back of your truck...maybe a 1,000 lb Yamaha Rhino, but my 2004 Hemi 4X4 Quad Cab can easily fry the tires....

 

my 4.7 with 20s can fry em if i power brake it. my manager has an 04 qc with a hemi and we lined up side by side in the parking lot the other night and put on a big smokeshow for everyone. what gears do you have and do you have limited slip or open dif?

 

Yeah, gearing might have something to do with it, I have 3.92's.

 

WHAT GEAR DO YOU HAVE AND WHAT TYPE OF TRANNY

 

Ican smoke the tires on my 06 quad cab but only in 2nd, that was with the 20's, I now have A/T 17's and haven't tried.
