Default Oil & Filter question Restated

A little while back I bought a 2000 ext-cab 1500 & it's time to change oil. After reading this forum I'm wanting to go with Mobile-1 and a WIX or K&N. I don't do any off roading or any real pulling. I see most of the posts concern the newer styles & I wonder if the same conclusions apply. I don't think I can go wrong with this oil & filter arrangement.

Comments?

Thanks

truckwood,

my dad & brother swear by mobil1 & K&N. i never heard of WIX - what's that?

I'm in college now, but they've had Dodge trucks for years. I want a truck too - or something easy to carry my bikes in. My friends & I mountain bike a lot.

good luck - hope this helps!

Those are all good choices. Just make sure you keep up with regular change intervals.[sm=itsok.gif]

It true to some degree from what I've read. Some are Purolator too.

You'll be more than fine with that. Pure Ones can be on that list.

My dealer told me the Mopar oil filter for my SRT-4 was made by Fram. That's why I went and spent extra $$ on a K&N, but I'd use Mobil 1 in a flash....
