Default 97 Ram 5.2 - No Oil Pressure

I replaced the factory oil pump in Aug. 06 for a High Volume pump. Last week I got in my truck and got about 2 blocks and realized the oil pressure was at 0. I have changed the oil pump again, primed it and all, but still have 0 pressure. Any ideas before i drive it into a lake?

5 qts of oil, its full! Turns out the driveshaft for the oil pump was stripped so now I am in the process of changing the driveshaft but this POS is giving me a hard way to go. I am about to take the intake manifold off this weekend and finish.

I got it out and replaced tonight, I will drive the truck into a lake before I replace one of those again!
The oil pump driveshaft broke, I know the oil pump was replaced at least once before I bought the truck, so I don't know whathappened to the rest of the shaft!

welcome to DF... better check the pan for it. it could have also been caught in the filter in little pieces but I kinda doubt it. the heavy stuff lands in the pan.

Well, I know its not in the pan. This was the 3rd time I had the oil pump off in less than a year. I didn't know much the shaft was supposed to be down the first time I replaced the pump so I just installed it and it worked for a little while. The shart was already broken before I ever got the truck so the missing parts should be gone by now.Turns outthe little bit that was turning the oil pump just stripped out.
