Default Can anyone please help me with a door panel question?

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I recently bought a 2004 Quad Cab Hemi with the basic 4 speaker setup. I purchased some new speakers for the doors, and was hoping someone could tell me or point me in the right direction for proper removal of the door panels. Thanks!

Go to this site and download the factory service manual for your ride. Links are on the left.

I don't know if yours will be the same mine. Have a 03RAM 1500 quad cab and
just put new speakers in mine. For the front doors you have to do the following:
1. remove window crank (if you have a manual window)
2. remove 1 screw from sail panel ( it's the one by the side mirror)
3. remove 1 screw from behind door handle
4. use torq bit to remove door handle. (On the 03 it was a T-30)
5. remove 2 screws from bottom of the door panel
6. lift up on the door panel to removeit. Don't pull straight out on the panel. Dodge used a plastic hook built into the panel to hold it to the door. pulling it will break the panel. If you have electric windows and locks make sure you unplug them as you move the panel away (thewindow controlpanel might pop out on you. If it does just pop it back in)
to assemble just do the steps in reverse

The back door is the same minus step 2.

Like I said it isn't an 04, but it might at least give you somewhere to start. Good luck
