do 5.7 have block drainplugs can i put sender where drain plug goes or do i get addapter for upper hose. thank you jim wayts.

Putting the sensor in the block drains would give you a false reading (colder than actual)
Cool water from the radiator enters the lower part of the block then travels upward through the block to the heads then to the thermostat.
Most of your heat is generated in the heads.
The proper place would be on the engine side of the thermostat as close as possable to the thermostat.
This position would give you the most accrurate reading of the coolant temerature.
