Sale of Chrysler
Looks like a good chance that daimler will sell Chrysler Corp. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to the fate of Sprinter and service. Maybe go back to Freightliner (hope not) or possibly to MB dealers. Strikes me that the MB dealers aren't interested in this clientel. Anyone have any info?

Theprevious plant in Gaffney, yearly capacity around 22,000 units, no longer could cope with the growing sales. Ladson, South Carolina plant has a yearly production capacity of 32,000 units.
The Freightliner & dodgeSprinter set standards in their sector for safety, variability and environmental protection. This vehicle will continue after the sale plus other mercedes and chrysler drive train sharing.
DaimlerChrysler did not envisage ending the cooperation between the divisions. "We would like to continue ongoing projects."
